Chef Michele
At an early age, in Verona, Italy, Michele Cremonese was captivated with the wonderful aromas and the addictive atmosphere of a bustling dining establishment. He developed a particualar affinity towards the clattering china, happy diners and the exciting pace of the kitchen.
Today Michele is the owner and executive chef of his own restaurant, Basil Seasonal Dining in Carmel California. He creates exciting dishes such as blackened steak salads, butterfish Nicoise, duck prosciutto-wrapped chicken, beef sliders, sandwiches, and late night snacks of lamb meatballs and spicy midnight pasta. Other creations include an old Veronese recipe of halibut served over a “summer risotto” consisting of rice, zucchini flowers, shrimp and melon. One of his signature dishes is Thai short ribs, braised in a sweet & spicy barbecue sauce, served over scallion mashed potatoes.
